Job Summary:
The Forklift & Hydra Service Engineer is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of forklifts and Hydra cranes to ensure safe and efficient operation. The role involves preventive maintenance, breakdown support, customer service, and maintaining service records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on forklifts and Hydra cranes.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related faults.
- Conduct routine inspections and identify potential issues before equipment failure.
- Attend breakdown calls at customer sites and provide timely repairs.
- Replace defective parts and perform equipment testing after repairs.
- Maintain service reports, inspection records, and job completion documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company service procedures.
- Coordinate with the spare parts department for required components.
- Provide technical guidance to customers on proper equipment operation and maintenance.
- Install and commission new forklifts and Hydra cranes when required.
- Maintain tools and service equipment in good working condition.
- Travel to customer locations for on-site service and emergency support.
Skills required:
- Diploma/ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in servicing forklifts, Hydra cranes, construction equipment, or material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmission, brakes, steering, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read service manuals and technical drawings.
- Valid driving license (preferred)
Working Conditions:
- Field-based role with frequent travel to customer sites.
- May require working beyond normal hours for emergency breakdowns.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols is mandatory.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
