The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for coordinating patient services, scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, assisting with insurance verification, and ensuring patients receive quality healthcare support. They act as the main point of contact between patients and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, tests, and procedures
- Communicate with patients regarding treatment plans and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical information
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with billing inquiries
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and specialists for patient care
- Handle patient calls, emails, and inquiries professionally
- Educate patients about medications, procedures, and healthcare services
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards
- Monitor patient progress and maintain care coordination documentation
- Assist with referrals and authorization processes

Qualifications
