Sovereign Minds Academy is expanding its online teaching team and is looking for enthusiastic Minecraft Coding Educators to teach students from 40+ international countries, including young learners from different age groups and backgrounds.
If you have hands-on experience teaching Minecraft coding to children or young learners and are comfortable using Minecraft as an engaging environment to teach coding, logic, automation, problem-solving, and creative game-based projects, we'd love to hear from you.
What We're Looking For
- Strong working knowledge of Minecraft and Minecraft-based coding, including commands, command blocks, coordinates, loops, conditionals, automation, Redstone, movement commands, and interactive game mechanics.
- Ability to teach students how to use coding concepts to create Minecraft builds, automated systems, mini-games, interactive challenges, and creative projects.
- Previous experience teaching Minecraft coding to children or young learners.
- Ability to guide students through coding and building projects step-by-step while encouraging creativity, logical thinking, problem-solving, and independent experimentation.
- Familiarity with Minecraft commands, command blocks, Redstone, automation, and coding-based gameplay is required.
- Experience with Minecraft Education or other Minecraft coding environments is an advantage.
- Excellent spoken English and the ability to communicate clearly with international students, including students accustomed to American English.
- Ability to explain coding concepts in a simple, engaging, and age-appropriate manner.
- Comfortable working independently in an online teaching environment.
- Candidates will be assessed on their Minecraft coding knowledge and teaching approach during the selection process.
Technical Setup
Since classes are conducted online, you should have:
- A Windows 10 laptop or compatible Windows setup capable of running Minecraft smoothly.
- Reliable, high-speed internet with a minimum upload speed of 25 Mbps.
- A working webcam.
- Wired noise-cancelling earphones/headphones.
- A suitable workspace for conducting interactive online classes.
Work Schedule
This is a flexible part-time or full-time remote opportunity.
Teachers can choose their availability based on the slots they select. Candidates should be comfortable taking classes during late-night or early-morning hours, particularly to accommodate students based in the United States and other international locations.
This opportunity is particularly suited to candidates who are comfortable working US-shift / night-shift hours, depending on student demand and the availability provided by the teacher.
Teachers may be required to conduct classes during evening, late-night, or early-morning hours in India to align with student availability in the United States.

Selection Process
Applicants are expected to provide complete and accurate information during the application process. The application questions are an important part of the initial screening, so please make sure every required question is answered.
Shortlisted candidates will be asked to submit a 3-minute self-introduction video covering specific points shared during the selection process.
The video and application responses will be used to assess your communication skills, teaching background, Minecraft knowledge, coding knowledge, and overall suitability for the role.
Candidates may also be assessed on their ability to explain Minecraft coding concepts in a way that is suitable and engaging for children and young learners.
The assessment may include questions related to Minecraft commands, coding logic, automation, Redstone, coordinates, command blocks, and problem-solving.

Please apply only if you have actual hands-on experience with Minecraft and Minecraft coding, along with experience teaching or guiding children or young learners.
This role is specifically focused on teaching Minecraft coding to children and young learners, so applicants should be comfortable simplifying programming concepts and using Minecraft to make coding lessons interactive, creative, and engaging.
Candidates who have experience only with playing Minecraft, without experience with Minecraft coding, commands, automation, or teaching, may not be suitable for this role.
