Job Summary
G D Goenka Public School, Bettiah is looking for an energetic, disciplined, and passionate Sports Teacher to promote physical education, sportsmanship, and overall student well-being. The ideal candidate should be capable of training students in various indoor and outdoor sports, organizing sporting events, and fostering teamwork and discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct Physical Education classes for students across different grade levels.
- Train students in a variety of indoor and outdoor sports and athletic activities.
- Organize annual sports meets, inter-school competitions, and fitness programs.
- Identify and nurture talented students for district, state, and national-level competitions.
- Maintain sports equipment, playgrounds, and sports facilities.
- Ensure student safety during all physical activities and sporting events.
- Encourage discipline, teamwork, leadership, and healthy lifestyle habits among students.
- Coordinate sports-related events, assemblies, and extracurricular activities.
- Assist in school functions and other assigned duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) (Mandatory)
- NCC Certification (Mandatory)
- Additional coaching certifications in sports disciplines will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching or coaching experience in a reputed school is preferred.
- Freshers with excellent sports achievements and NCC background may also apply.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of physical education and sports training techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and motivational skills.
- Ability to organize sports events and manage teams effectively.
- Knowledge of first aid and student safety practices.
- Passion for mentoring students and promoting physical fitness.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and school management.
