The Pre-Primary Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children. The teacher will implement age-appropriate learning activities that promote the cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and language development of students while fostering a love for learning.
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons as per the prescribed curriculum.
- Prepare weekly and monthly lesson plans.
- Develop learning materials, worksheets, and classroom activities.
- Teach foundational concepts in literacy, numeracy, environmental awareness, and life skills.
- Encourage creativity through art, music, storytelling, rhymes, and play-based learning.
- Assess students' progress and maintain academic records.
- Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Maintain discipline using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Ensure classroom cleanliness, organization, and attractive displays.
- Monitor students during classroom activities, snack time, and dispersal.
- Ensure the safety, well-being, and emotional development of every child.
- Observe children's behaviour and developmental milestones.
- Identify students requiring additional support and inform the Headmistress.
- Promote good manners, hygiene, and healthy habits.
