About the Role
We are looking for a passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated Sanskrit Teacher to teach students Sanskrit language and literature. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Sanskrit grammar, vocabulary, literature, and pronunciation, along with the ability to make Sanskrit learning interesting and accessible to students.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Sanskrit lessons as per the school curriculum.
- Teach Sanskrit grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, comprehension, pronunciation, and literature.
- Help students understand Sanskrit verses, shlokas, stories, and texts with appropriate explanations.
- Develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills in Sanskrit.
- Use stories, activities, quizzes, shlokas, discussions, and creative teaching methods to make lessons engaging.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, projects, and classroom activities.
- Conduct regular tests, assessments, and examinations to monitor student progress.
- Maintain accurate records of students’ academic performance.
- Provide additional support and remedial teaching to students who require assistance.
- Encourage students to develop an appreciation for Sanskrit language, literature, culture, and heritage.
- Maintain a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Communicate with parents regarding students’ academic progress when required.
- Participate in school assemblies, cultural programs, celebrations, and co-curricular activities.
- Collaborate with other teachers and the academic team.
- Follow the school’s curriculum, policies, and academic standards.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Sanskrit or a relevant subject.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
- Prior teaching experience in a school environment will be an advantage.
- Strong command of Sanskrit language and grammar.
- Good pronunciation and understanding of Sanskrit texts and shlokas.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to use creative and activity-based teaching methods.
- Basic knowledge of digital teaching tools is preferred.
