Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, responsible, and compassionate Hostel Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day operations of our residential hostel for students of Standards 5 to 10. The ideal candidate should possess strong administrative and leadership skills, be able to manage staff effectively, and ensure the safety, discipline, welfare, and holistic development of the students.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the overall administration and day-to-day operations of the hostel.
- Supervise hostel staff and coordinate daily activities efficiently.
- Ensure discipline, cleanliness, safety, security, and proper maintenance of the hostel premises.
- Foster a positive, caring, and student-friendly residential environment.
- Attend to students' welfare, health-related concerns, and general well-being.
- Communicate and coordinate with parents, school authorities, management, vendors, and service providers whenever required.
- Maintain hostel records, reports, inventories, attendance, and administrative documentation.
- Monitor hostel facilities and ensure the smooth functioning of all services.
- Handle emergencies calmly and ensure compliance with hostel rules and safety protocols.
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hostel administration, residential school hostels, student housing, boarding schools, or a similar residential management role.
- Experience working with school-age children, preferably students from Standards 5 to 10.
- Strong administrative, organizational, and people-management skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Hindi and/or Gujarati will be an added advantage).
- Proficiency in MS Office, email, and computerized record management.
- Ability to reside on campus and independently manage hostel operations.
