Job Summary
An Arc Welder is responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal parts using arc welding equipment. The role involves reading blueprints, preparing metal surfaces, operating welding machines safely, and ensuring weld quality as per company and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform arc welding on metal components and structures.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces before welding.
- Operate welding machines and select appropriate electrodes and settings.
- Inspect completed welds for strength, alignment, and quality.
- Repair damaged metal parts and structures.
- Maintain welding tools, machines, and work area.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and use PPE properly.
- Assist fabrication and maintenance teams when required.
- Maintain production and quality records.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of Arc welding techniques.
- Ability to read technical drawings and welding symbols.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of welding safety standards.
- Ability to use grinders, cutting tools, and measuring instruments.
- Physical stamina to work in heat, confined spaces, or elevated areas.
Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Welding or related field.
- Welding certification preferred.
- 1–5 years of welding experience preferred.
Pay: ₹30,086.00 - ₹35,338.07 per month
