Job Title: .NET Product Engineer (Mid/Senior) - Microservices & Integrations (Liabify)
Liabify is a UAE-based fintech platform offering salary advance and employee financial services, with plans to scale across the GCC. We are building secure, compliant and highly available financial infrastructure for real-time disbursement, repayment, employer and external-system integrations. We are hiring an experienced Mid-Level / Senior .NET Product Engineer to own and deliver backend capabilities across our microservices platform.
Role Overview
This is a hands-on engineering role for an experienced mid-level or senior developer who can own problems, not only tickets. You will design, build, test, deploy and operate backend services, while helping shape the backlog and proactively identifying missing requirements, edge cases, automation opportunities and reliability improvements. Senior candidates are expected to take broader architecture and technical-leadership ownership; mid-level candidates should be able to deliver independently with limited supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop modern .NET / C# microservices using SQL and NoSQL backends.
- Build resilient REST APIs, webhooks and integrations with employers, banks, payment, payroll and other third-party systems.
- Implement asynchronous and event-driven workflows using message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Azure Service Bus, including retries, idempotency and dead-letter handling.
- Own work end-to-end: understand the business problem, clarify gaps, propose solutions, estimate, break down, implement, test, deploy and support production.
- Maintain and refine the product/technical backlog in Azure DevOps; proactively create work for technical debt, automation, security, reliability and platform improvements rather than waiting for fully defined tickets.
- Design data models using Entity Framework and optimize SQL/NoSQL queries, caching and data-access performance.
- Build financially safe workflows with auditability, reconciliation, duplicate-operation protection, concurrency controls and traceable transaction states.
- Create meaningful unit, integration, contract, API and regression tests, and strengthen CI/CD automation for safe releases.
- Own production observability using structured logging, correlation IDs, metrics, distributed tracing, dashboards, alerting and root-cause analysis.
- Apply secure coding, authentication/authorization, data protection, fault tolerance, scalability and performance engineering across services.
- Use AI-assisted and agentic development workflows for implementation, refactoring, testing, debugging, code review and documentation while remaining accountable for correctness, security and production outcomes.
Critical Requirements
- 4+ years of professional backend development experience with .NET / C#. Senior candidates will typically have 7+ years or equivalent depth of experience.
- Strong practical experience with microservices, distributed systems and service-to-service integration.
- Strong REST API design skills, including authentication, authorization, versioning, validation and consistent error handling.
- Experience with asynchronous programming, message queues/brokers and failure-handling patterns.
- Experience with SQL Server plus at least one NoSQL or caching technology such as MongoDB or Redis.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD and cloud or container-based deployment.
- Ability to troubleshoot production systems using logs, traces, metrics and systematic root-cause analysis.
- Strong ownership and product thinking: comfortable working from business outcomes and incomplete requirements, identifying gaps and driving work forward independently.
Nice to Have
- Experience in fintech, lending, payments, payroll, card platforms, banking integrations or other compliance-sensitive systems.
- Working knowledge of ISO 20022 financial messaging and payment/integration concepts.
- Exposure to PCI DSS, payment security controls and secure handling of financial or card-related data.
- Experience with domain-driven design, event-driven architecture, eventual consistency, Saga/outbox patterns or similar distributed-system patterns.
- Experience with RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, Kafka or comparable message/event platforms.
- Familiarity with OpenAPI, OAuth 2.0 / OIDC, API gateways, rate limiting and webhook security.
- Experience with containers, Kubernetes and cloud-native monitoring/observability tooling.
- Practical use of AI coding agents, agentic workflows or semi-autonomous development automation to improve engineering throughput and quality.
Engagement Details
- Location: UAE-based remote or hybrid.
- Duration: Permanent, annually extendable based on roadmap needs.
- Scope: End-to-end backend product engineering across borrower flows, loan lifecycle, integrations, platform reliability and continuous improvement.
Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹170,000.00 per month
