HR executive payroll and compliance
The HR Executive – Payroll & Compliance is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining statutory compliance with applicable labour laws. The role involves managing employee records, attendance, payroll inputs, statutory deductions, and compliance documentation to ensure smooth HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Management
* Process monthly payroll accurately and within stipulated timelines.
* Verify attendance, leave records, overtime, incentives, and salary revisions.
* Calculate salaries, statutory deductions, reimbursements, and final settlements.
* Generate and maintain salary registers, payslips, and payroll reports.
* Coordinate with the finance team for salary disbursement.
Statutory Compliance
* Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory regulations.
* Manage PF, ESI, PT, LWF, TDS, and other statutory deductions and filings.
* Maintain statutory registers, records, and compliance documentation.
* Coordinate with auditors and government authorities during inspections and audits.
* Monitor changes in labour laws and implement necessary compliance updates.
Employee Records & Documentation
* Maintain employee personal files and HRIS records.
* Prepare employment letters, salary revision letters, and compliance-related documents.
* Ensure proper documentation for onboarding, confirmation, transfers, resignations, and exit formalities.
Attendance & Leave Management
* Monitor attendance and leave records.
* Resolve attendance discrepancies in coordination with department heads.
* Generate monthly attendance reports for payroll processing.
Reporting & MIS
* Prepare payroll summaries, compliance reports, and HR MIS.
* Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll and personal information.
* Support HR audits by providing accurate payroll and compliance records.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
* MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent qualification is preferred.
Experience
* 1–3 years of experience in payroll processing and statutory compliance.
* Experience with HRMS/payroll software is preferred.
Required Skills
* Strong knowledge of payroll processing and labour law compliance.
* Working knowledge of PF, ESI, PT, TDS, Gratuity, Bonus, and other statutory requirements.
* Proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft Office.
* Experience using HRMS and payroll software.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
