Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Team Lead – NZ Accounting to manage accounting operations for New Zealand-based clients. The role involves leading a team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with NZ regulations, and delivering high-quality accounting services within deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of accountants handling New Zealand client accounts.
- Review bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with New Zealand accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Oversee GST returns, PAYE, income tax filings, and other statutory requirements.
- Monitor team performance, productivity, and quality of work.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members.
- Coordinate with clients to resolve accounting and financial queries.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices.
- Ensure timely completion of deliverables and adherence to SLAs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CA, CPA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a team leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of New Zealand accounting and taxation regulations.
- Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
