Job Description – O.T. Technician (5+ Years Experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain the Operation Theatre before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Sterilize, arrange, and manage surgical instruments, equipment, and consumables.
- Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff during all types of surgical procedures.
- Ensure proper functioning of OT equipment and report any malfunction immediately.
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection control practices as per hospital protocols.
- Monitor OT inventory and coordinate with the store for timely availability of surgical supplies.
- Handle biomedical waste disposal in accordance with statutory guidelines.
- Maintain OT registers, surgical records, and equipment maintenance logs.
- Assist in patient positioning, shifting, and preparation for surgery.
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards, patient safety protocols, and hospital policies.
- Coordinate with CSSD for timely sterilization and availability of instruments.
- Attend emergency surgeries and remain available for on-call duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT) or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a multispecialty hospital Operation Theatre.
- Sound knowledge of OT equipment, sterilization procedures, and infection control.
- Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
