Job Title: VMC Machine Operator
Location: Chennai
Experience: Fresher to 5 Years
Industry: Manufacturing / Precision Engineering
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor VMC (Vertical Machining Center) machines for production activities.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished components safely.
- Perform basic machine setup as per drawings and work instructions.
- Read and understand engineering drawings and measurement specifications.
- Conduct in-process inspection using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ensure production quality and maintain required tolerances.
- Follow safety procedures and company manufacturing standards.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and perform basic preventive maintenance.
- Report machine issues or production deviations to the supervisor.
Required Skills:
- Basic knowledge of CNC/VMC machine operations.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings (preferred).
- Familiarity with measuring instruments.
- Willingness to work in shifts.
- Good learning attitude and teamwork skills.
Qualification:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
- Freshers with technical training in CNC/VMC are encouraged to apply.
