Role: Finance Executive / Senior Finance Executive
Location: Kochi
Reporting to: Finance Manager / CFO
Role Overview
The Finance Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day finance operations with a particular focus on payroll processing, statutory remittances, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting. The role requires a strong understanding of Philippine labor laws, tax regulations, and government reporting requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to take ownership of the local finance function while working closely with an international leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Payroll & Employee Finance
- Process monthly payroll accurately and on a timely basis
- Ensure compliance with all payroll-related statutory requirements
- Coordinate with HR on employee onboarding, exits, and payroll changes
- Address employee payroll and benefits-related queries
2. Statutory Compliance & Remittances
- Manage and ensure timely remittance of:
- BIR taxes
- SSS contributions
- PhilHealth contributions
- Pag-IBIG contributions
- Prepare and file statutory returns and compliance reports
- Liaise with government agencies and external advisors as required
- Monitor changes in local regulations and ensure ongoing compliance
3. Accounting & Finance Operations
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash balances
- Assist with audits and regulatory reviews
4. Reporting & Controls
- Prepare periodic financial reports and schedules
- Support management reporting and variance analysis
- Maintain strong financial controls and compliance processes
- Assist in developing and documenting finance procedures
Ideal Candidate Profile
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
· 4–5 years of relevant finance and accounting experience
· Strong understanding of Philippine payroll regulations and statutory remittances
· Good knowledge of local labor laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
· Experience preparing government filings and compliance documentation
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience working in a services, outsourcing, or multinational environment
· Knowledge of QuickBooks would be an added advantage
· Experience working with external accountants, auditors, and payroll providers
· Strong Excel and financial reporting skills
