About the Role
We are looking for an energetic, passionate, and dedicated Dance Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong dance skills, experience in teaching students of different age groups, and the ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment. The Dance Teacher will be responsible for planning and conducting dance classes, preparing students for performances and competitions, and encouraging creativity, confidence, and discipline through dance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct dance classes for students of various age groups and skill levels.
- Teach dance techniques, choreography, rhythm, coordination, and performance skills.
- Plan and prepare lesson structures according to student abilities and learning goals.
- Choreograph routines for stage performances, competitions, annual events, and special programs.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure a safe, disciplined, and encouraging classroom environment.
- Motivate students to develop confidence, teamwork, and self-expression through dance.
- Coordinate with management regarding events, performances, and student development.
- Assist in organizing workshops, cultural programs, and academy events.
- Maintain attendance records and communicate student progress to parents when required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dance Teacher, Dance Instructor, or Professional Dancer.
- Strong knowledge of one or more dance styles such as:
- Western Dance
- Bollywood Dance
- Contemporary Dance
- Hip-Hop
- Freestyle
- Other specialized dance forms
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to work with children, teenagers, and adults.
- Creative, enthusiastic, and patient teaching approach.
- Ability to choreograph and prepare students for performances.
- Relevant certifications or dance training will be an added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma, Certification, or Degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or related fields.
- Previous teaching experience in schools, academies, or dance studios.
- Experience handling group performances and competitions.
