JOB DESCRIPTION — FINANCE MANAGER
Finance/Accounts Department | On-Campus | Full-Time
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Finance Manager manages the complete financial operations of RNSIT, including accounts receivable, vendor payments, payroll, budgeting, statutory compliance, and MIS reporting. The role requires expertise in education finance norms, ERP systems, and regulatory frameworks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Accounts Receivable Management
- Fee Billing: Oversee end-to-end billing for tuition, hostel, lab, and miscellaneous fees.
- ERP Maintenance: Configure fee structures and maintain timely reminder about Fee payment.
- Collection Tracking: Monitor collections and follow up on dues with parents and scholarship bodies.
- Scholarships & Waivers: Track disbursements from external sources/ Internal sources; record approved concessions (if any).
2. Vendor Payments & Payables
- Invoice Verification: Review POs, GRNs, and invoices using three-way matching before processing
- Payment Schedules: Process timely vendor payments within credit periods to avoid penalties
- Tax Compliance: Verify and deposit TDS on vendor payments with the Income Tax Department.
- Ledger Reconciliation: Periodically resolve vendor ledger discrepancies and track AMC renewals.
- Reporting: Prepare aged payables reports to monitor cash flow impacts.
3. Payroll & Employee Finance
- Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end payroll for teaching, non-teaching, and contractual/adjunct staff, Security agencies.
- Statutory Deductions: Compute and remit PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and TDS.
- Exit Formalities: Process final settlements (Full & Final), gratuity.
- Tax Filing: File quarterly TDS returns (24Q) and resolve employee payroll queries.
4. Budgeting, Treasury Reporting
- Budgeting: Lead annual budget preparation and monitor monthly variance analysis. (Target may be set by the management)
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet).
- Treasury & Banking: Manage bank relationships, FD investments, liquidity, and payment gateway reconciliations.
- Compliance & Audit: File GST and Income Tax returns on time; coordinate internal/external audits.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Education: CA (Chartered Accountant) / MCom / MBA in Finance
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in finance/accounts; experience in educational institutions or trusts is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Tally ERP, SAP, or ERP Next; advanced MS Excel; working knowledge of GST/TRACES portals.
Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹120,000.00 per month
