Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineer with 1+ year of experience in AutoCAD and SolidWorks for our fabrication industry. The candidate will be responsible for creating detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, fabrication drawings, and supporting the production team in developing cost-effective and manufacturable designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D and 3D designs using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Develop fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and detailed manufacturing drawings.
- Create and modify engineering designs based on project requirements.
- Coordinate with production, fabrication, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility.
- Review technical specifications, customer drawings, and project requirements.
- Assist in design improvements to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce costs.
- Support troubleshooting and design modifications during fabrication and installation stages.
- Maintain proper documentation of drawings, revisions, and engineering records.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in design engineering within fabrication, sheet metal, structural, or manufacturing industries.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of fabrication processes, welding, sheet metal, and structural components.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in preparing GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and assembly drawings.
- Knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems.
- Understanding of manufacturing and production processes.
- Familiarity with material selection and costing concepts.
Salary
As per industry standards and candidate experience.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
