Key Responsibilities
- Merchant Acquisition: Identify and onboard new merchants within an assigned geography, focusing on those with significant transaction volumes.
- Relationship Management: Maintain and strengthen ties with existing merchants to encourage the adoption of value-added products like smart speakers, scanners, and POS machines.
- Market Intelligence: Study and report on competitor activities (e.g., Google Pay, Paytm) to help PhonePe respond quickly to local market shifts.
- Product Education: Explain features and benefits of PhonePe solutions to potential clients and ensure proper installation of QR codes and soundboxes.
- Category Growth: Some roles may involve managing specific utility categories like electricity or water bills, identifying opportunities to convert offline transactions to online ones.
