Job description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mid-Level Planning Engineer to join our project management team for real estate developments, with a strong preference for candidates having experience in hotel development projects. The role involves project planning, scheduling, coordination, monitoring, and reporting to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality project delivery across hotel, residential, and commercial developments.
The ideal candidate should possess strong planning expertise, coordination skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using planning tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent software.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to align planning and execution activities.
- Prepare and circulate Minutes of Meetings (MOM) and ensure timely follow-up on action items.
- Organize and coordinate project meetings involving design, execution, procurement, and client teams.
- Support design coordination activities between consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Track contractor bills, invoices, payment schedules, and maintain proper billing records.
- Monitor resource allocation, material tracking, and procurement status to avoid delays and ensure smooth project execution.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, look-ahead schedules, recovery plans, and delay mitigation plans for management review.
- Assist in project resource planning, cost monitoring, risk assessment, and project controls.
- Conduct regular site visits to validate actual progress and update schedules accordingly.
- Identify project delays, risks, and critical activities, and proactively recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to company standards, safety regulations, quality benchmarks, and project timelines.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling within the real estate or construction industry.
- Candidates with prior experience in hotel development projects will be given first preference.
- Strong proficiency in planning and scheduling software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent tools.
- Good understanding of construction sequencing, project lifecycle management, and coordination processes.
- Knowledge of real estate development procedures, construction practices, and local building regulations is preferred.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving abilities.
