Job Description – Tech Lead (Software & Intelligence)
We are seeking a highly capable Tech Lead with strong experience in full stack software development, cloud-native platforms, and intelligent software solutions. The ideal candidate will be a polyglot engineer with the ability to work across multiple technologies, platforms, and system layers spanning software, cloud, and AI-enabled systems.
This role is ideal for engineers interested in about building scalable software platforms that bridge physical systems, cloud infrastructure, and intelligent applications.
Role Overview
As a Tech Lead, you will lead the design[R1] , development, and integration of intelligent software platforms connecting to embedded systems, and uncrewed vehicles using cloud infrastructure, and modern applications.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams across software, firmware, hardware, AI, and systems engineering to build next-generation connected and intelligent solutions.
You will have the opportunity to learn about embedded software, manufacturing, drones and similar uncrewed vehicles.
Required Experience
- 7-10 years of software engineering experience
- 3+ years of technical leadership, architecture ownership, or platform ownership
- Proven experience leading engineers, mentoring team members, and driving technical execution
- Hands-on experience building production-grade cloud-native or distributed software platforms
- Experience working with connected systems such as IoT, telemetry platforms, embedded-integrated systems, industrial automation, remote monitoring, robotics, edge gateways, or hardware-connected software platforms
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Lead technical execution and software development activities across scalable platforms
- Mentor junior engineers and drive engineering best practices
- Provide technical guidance across full stack, cloud, and integration domains
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and stakeholders
Polyglot Software Development
- Lead a team developing and maintaining applications across multiple programming languages and technology stacks
- Design scalable backend services, APIs, and distributed systems
- Build modern frontend applications and real-time operational dashboards
- Work across on-premises, cloud, and edge software platforms
Full Stack & Cloud Platforms
- Design and develop scalable full stack applications and distributed systems
- Build backend services, APIs, telemetry systems, and operator interfaces
- Design cloud-native and edge-integrated architectures
- Support edge-to-cloud communication and synchronization workflows
Hardware-Software Integration
- Collaborate across software, firmware, and hardware engineering teams
- Support real-time data acquisition and control systems
Observability & Reliability
- Implement observability and monitoring frameworks using tools such as:
- Prometheus
- Grafana
- OpenTelemetry
- Improve reliability, diagnostics, and operational visibility
CI/CD & DevOps
- Collaborate with platform engineering teams to help maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows
- Support automated testing and release engineering practices
- Contribute to scalable DevOps and infrastructure automation
AI & Intelligent Systems
- Exposure to developing AI-enabled solutions and integrating AI models into software platforms is preferred
Security & Secure Systems Engineering
- Work with cross-functional teams to contribute to secure software architecture and implementation for connected and intelligent systems
- Implement security best practices across cloud, edge, and distributed platforms
Required Skills & Experience
Core Technical Skills
- Strong experience as a polyglot software engineer
- Strong experience in full stack software development
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native and distributed systems
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Experience with JVM-based technologies such as Java
Frontend & Backend
- Experience building modern web applications and backend services
- Knowledge of APIs, microservices, and distributed architectures
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Experience with developing for:
- Docker
- Kubernetes
- Cloud platforms
Database Technologies
- SQL. experience
- Experience with PostgreSQL is preferred
- Exposure to NoSQL is preferred
Observability & DevOps
- Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring tools
- Experience with CI/CD and automation pipelines
Leadership & Collaboration
- Experience mentoring junior engineers
- Strong communication, ownership, and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have Domain Knowledge
Experience working in uncrewed vehicle domains and connected platform ecosystems such as:
- UAV (Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles)
- UGV (Uncrewed Ground Vehicles)
- USV (Uncrewed Surface Vehicles)
Exposure to robotics, industrial automation, connected mobility, or intelligent naval systems is an added advantage.

Candidates may not be suitable if their experience is limited to only one of the following areas without cloud-native platform depth and connected-systems exposure:
- Generic web application development
- E-commerce applications
- CRM platforms
- Banking or healthcare web applications
- SharePoint / M365-only development
- Basic Python development
- Internship-only embedded or IoT projects
- Junior full stack development without technical leadership
- Enterprise SaaS development without telemetry, IoT, edge, embedded, or industrial platform exposure
