POSITION NAME: PIPING DESIGNER
JOB ROLE (ENGINEERING/MODELING): DESIGN/ MODELLING
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 5-10 Y and 10-15 Y
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION (DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE ETC)
- Equipment layout and pipe routing of road freight modules.
- Equipment modeling of Vessels (generic shapes using parameterized shapes in software)
- Import special shape reactors from Mechanical Engineering Department (STEP)
- Import vendor provided 3D models of valves, pumps, etc.
- Model pipe supports and hangers
- Supervision and workload assignment to subordinate piping designer
- Interfaces with Project Manager / Project Engineer
- Interfaces with Sr. Principal Piping Engineer and Sr. Piping Designers as needed
- Interfaces with Process Engineering function
SKILL / TOOLS KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in experience, Secondary Technical Education or Higher Technical Education in engineering technology, CAD training in AutoCAD & Plant 3D.
- 5-10 years of piping design experience
- Experienced enough to be able to position equipment suitable for access and maintenance activities
- Capable of making equipment / module layout given PFD, P&ID’s, Equipment Process Data Sheets, Sized equipment list.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Plant3D ONLY
- "Eye" for the preliminary, conceptual steel framing shape to provide support of the skid/module
- Experienced enough to be able to position equipment suitable for access and maintenance activities
- Understanding of the software specific administrative functions of setting up project database
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
