About the Role
We are seeking a QA Engineer – Database Tester to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of backend systems and large-scale data operations. This role is critical in validating data integrity, supporting migrations, and optimizing database performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate complex SQL and HiveQL queries for backend data verification
- Perform data integrity checks across large datasets and ensure consistency between UI and backend systems
- Conduct end-to-end database testing including regression testing on schema updates and release deployments
- Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to resolve data issues
- Ensure compliance with data security and regulatory standards
- Create and maintain database test cases, test plans, and test data sets
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of SQL (DDL, DML, DCL) and advanced query writing (joins, subqueries, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with RDBMS such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, SSIS) and data validation techniques
- Familiarity with database design concepts (schemas, keys, normalization)
- Exposure to automation frameworks (Python, Selenium + DB libraries, SQL automation) – preferred
- Understanding of performance testing (indexing, query optimization)
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in test case design, defect tracking, and reporting
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies

- Automation testing experience using Selenium with Java/Python frameworks

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to ₹600,000.00 per year
