We are looking for an experienced Senior Shopify Headless Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in building scalable, high-performance Shopify storefronts using modern headless commerce technologies such as Shopify Hydrogen, Next.js, React.js, or similar frameworks.
This role requires someone who has worked beyond basic Shopify theme customization and has real experience developing custom storefronts from the ground up using Shopify APIs, GraphQL, and modern front-end architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance headless Shopify storefronts.
- Build custom storefront experiences using Shopify Hydrogen, Next.js, React.js, or similar frameworks.
- Work extensively with Shopify Storefront API and Admin API.
- Write clean, efficient, and optimized GraphQL queries.
- Develop features related to products, collections, carts, checkout flows, and customer experiences.
- Collaborate with UI/UX, backend, marketing, and product teams to deliver high-quality e-commerce solutions.
- Optimize website performance, page speed, SEO structure, accessibility, and user experience.
- Build reusable front-end components with clean and scalable architecture.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing Shopify and headless commerce implementations.
- Follow best practices for code quality, version control, deployment, and documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in Shopify development.
- Strong hands-on experience with headless Shopify architecture.
- Proficiency in Shopify Hydrogen, Next.js, React.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Strong knowledge of Shopify Storefront API, Admin API, and GraphQL.
- Experience in building scalable, responsive, and performance-focused e-commerce platforms.
- Good understanding of modern front-end development practices.
- Experience with Git/version control and deployment workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with performance optimization for e-commerce websites.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices for Shopify/headless storefronts.
- Experience with third-party Shopify app integrations.
- Understanding of scalable front-end architecture and reusable component systems.
