Mathematics Teacher

Job Summary
The Mathematics Teacher is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging mathematics lessons in accordance with the CBSE curriculum. The role involves fostering analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a positive learning environment that supports students' academic and personal growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver effective Mathematics lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum till Grade 10.
- Prepare annual, monthly, and weekly lesson plans.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to cater to diverse learning needs.
- Encourage critical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Assessment & Evaluation
- Design and conduct formative and summative assessments.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate academic records, grades, and progress reports.
- Analyze assessment data to identify learning gaps and implement intervention strategies.
Student Development
- Monitor students' academic progress and behavioral development.
- Provide additional support and remedial classes when required.
- Motivate students to participate in mathematics-related competitions, Olympiads, and enrichment programs.
- Act as a mentor and guide to students.
Classroom Management
- Establish and maintain classroom discipline in accordance with school policies.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
- Create an engaging and student-centered learning environment.
Parent & School Communication
- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and academic reviews.
- Communicate student progress and concerns effectively to parents and school leadership.
- Collaborate with colleagues, coordinators, and administrators to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
Professional Development
- Attend training programs, workshops, and professional development sessions.
- Stay updated with CBSE guidelines, curriculum changes, and educational best practices.
- Contribute to school initiatives, events, and committees as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or a related field.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.
- Master's Degree in Mathematics preferred.
- CTET/TET qualification is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school.
- Experience teaching Middle School and Secondary School Mathematics,especially Grade 10.
- Proven track record of improving student learning outcomes.
