We are looking for an experienced Software Testing Lead with strong expertise in Ecommerce Quality Engineering, Automation Testing, and API Testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience testing end-to-end Ecommerce applications, including customer order journeys, backend order processing, inventory validation, and fulfillment workflows. The role requires a strong automation mindset, excellent API testing skills, and experience working in Agile development environments.
Detailed Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies for Ecommerce applications.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing across web applications and backend services.
- Build and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium, Playwright, or similar automation frameworks.
- Perform API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or equivalent tools.
- Validate complete Ecommerce order lifecycle from order creation through fulfillment and delivery.
- Test frontend customer purchase journeys and backend order processing workflows.
- Validate inventory management, order status transitions, shipment processing, and delivery promise functionality.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
- Identify, document, and track defects while ensuring timely resolution.
- Participate in sprint planning, test planning, and Agile ceremonies.
- Ensure high-quality releases through effective automation and continuous testing practices.
Required Skills
- 7–12 years of Software Testing experience.
- Hands-on experience in Ecommerce application testing.
- Experience with Oracle ATG or any leading Ecommerce platform.
- Strong Automation Testing experience using Selenium or Playwright.
- Strong API Testing experience using Postman and Rest Assured.
- Good understanding of Ecommerce business workflows.
- Experience testing frontend and backend applications.
- Knowledge of Order Management Systems (OMS).
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
