We are seeking a skilled Technical Sales Engineer specializing in industrial automation to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and proven sales experience. Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic Sales Engineer – Industrial Automation to drive sales of automation solutions including PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, SCADA, and industrial control systems. The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge with customer-facing sales skills to develop new business and support existing clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in industrial automation
- Promote and sell PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, SCADA, sensors, and control panels
- Understand customer applications and propose suitable technical solutions
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals, quotations, and tender documents
- Conduct product presentations, demos, and site visits
- Coordinate with engineering and service teams for project execution
- Maintain relationships with OEMs, system integrators, and end users
- Achieve assigned sales targets and prepare sales reports and forecasts
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related field
- Hands-on knowledge of PLC, VFD, HMI, SCADA systems
- Experience with brands such as Siemens, ABB, Schneider, Allen-Bradley, Delta, Mitsubishi, etc.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to understand industrial processes and applications
- Willingness to travel for customer visits
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in industrial automation sales or application engineering
- Knowledge of control panels, networking, and industrial protocols
- Existing customer network in manufacturing / process industries
