Job Role:
We are deploying a Senior Legal Professional (10+ years’ PQE) to support our customer. The role will focus on strengthening contract management practices, establishing standardized legal processes, and enabling efficient legal operations through structured, high-quality outputs.
This resource will work closely with the TCS Customer Legal team under a supervised delivery model, ensuring alignment with internal legal standards, risk frameworks, and business expectations.
This is a high-impact individual contributor role, requiring a blend of contracting expertise, legal operations capability, and stakeholder collaboration.
Skills:
- Strong contract drafting and review expertise.
- Proficiency in contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools (preferred).
- Experience in process mapping tools.
- Strong documentation and redlining capabilities.
- Legal operations and process improvement mindset.
- Ability to translate legal processes into business-friendly guidance.

o Contract management
o Commercial/legal documentation
o Legal operations or process optimization

o Contract templates and playbooks
o Global stakeholders
o Legal review and risk assessment frameworks
Responsibilities:
1. Contract Management
- Support the development and refinement of contract templates and playbooks, including the Contract Approval Process playbook as a priority deliverable, under Customer legal team supervision.
- Document Production & Management
- Deliver high-quality legal documentation support, including:
- Drafting agreements based on Customer templates
- Preparing execution-ready documents
- Formatting, proofreading, and cross-reference validation
- Creating redlines and comparison versions
- Supporting development of policies, guidance notes, and presentations
- First-Line Contract Review (Phase-based rollout)
- Once playbooks and escalation frameworks are established:
- Perform initial review of customer contracts and negotiated documents.
- Apply defined playbooks and identify deviations.
- Escalate risks in line with agreed escalation matrices.
- Deliver output subject to Customer legal review and sign-off.
2. Legal Operations (Primary Focus Area)
- Support process mapping, documentation, and governance activities across legal workflows.
- Lead development of the end-to-end Contract Approval Process, including:
- Operating procedures (SOPs).
- Business-facing guidance documentation.
- Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Support administration and lifecycle management of legal documentation and guidance materials.
3. Due Diligence Support
- Assist with targeted contract and document review on request.
- Summarize key provisions, risks, and obligations in line with Customer instructions.
- Provide structured outputs to support legal decision-making.
