Job Description: Business Development Executive (Fintech APIs & Infrastructure)

About the Role
We are looking for a sharp, technically-minded Business Development Executive/ Account Executive to drive growth for our core B2B Fintech infrastructure products, including BBPS (Bharat Bill Payment System) integrations, Central KYC (CKYC) APIs, and digital onboarding solutions.
In this full-cycle sales role, you will own the entire customer journey—from identifying potential business clients and navigating high-level commercial discussions to coordinating technical sandbox testing and closing long-term enterprise contracts. You will be selling directly to CTOs, Product Managers, CFOs, and Compliance heads at NBFCs, banks, digital lending platforms, neo-banks, and enterprise software companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Pipeline Management: Lead end-to-end sales cycles from initial prospecting, outbound lead generation, and discovery calls to commercial negotiation, legal signing, and production launch.
- Target Market Sourcing: Proactively identify and engage high-value prospects across key verticals (e.g., Digital Lenders, ERP providers, WealthTech apps, Mutual Fund distributors, and Property Management platforms).
- Consultative Technical Selling: Understand a prospect’s current user onboarding or payment workflow, identify operational bottlenecks, and articulate how our APIs solve their latency, compliance, or success-rate issues.
- Sandbox Coordination: Serve as the primary bridge between the client’s engineering team and our internal technical support to facilitate smooth testing in the sandbox/UAT environment.
- Commercial Deal Structuring: Draft and negotiate commercial proposals using volume-based pricing models (one-time setup fees + SaaS recurring/slab-based transaction fees).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal Product and Engineering teams to convey client feedback, prioritize feature requests, and ensure rapid resolution of technical blockers during integration.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 2+years of proven B2B sales experience, strictly within Fintech, SaaS, Payment Gateways, RegTech, or API Infrastructure domains.
- Technical Literacy: You don't need to write code, but you must confidently understand how modern software communicates.
- Compliance Awareness: Basic understanding of the Indian fintech landscape, financial regulations, and compliance standards (RBI guidelines, KYC/CKYC mandates, NPCI frameworks) is highly preferred.
- Communication Mastery: Exceptional spoken and written communication. You must be equally comfortable negotiating commercial terms with a CFO and discussing integration blockers with a Lead Developer.
- Tool Proficiency: Experience working with modern CRM tools (HubSpot, Zoho, or Salesforce) and lead generation platforms (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io).
Who This Role is NOT For: This is not a retail banking, credit card, loan distribution, or relationship management role for individual consumers. If your experience is primarily in selling consumer financial products B2C, you will not be a fit for this position. We are looking exclusively for corporate, tech-first B2B professionals.
