The IT Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the school's IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth functioning of hardware, software, networks, and digital learning systems. The role involves providing technical support to staff and students while maintaining data security and system efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, laptops, printers, projectors, and other IT equipment.
- Monitor and maintain the school's network, internet connectivity, Wi-Fi, and server infrastructure.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues for staff and students.
- Manage user accounts, email IDs, passwords, and access permissions.
- Install, update, and maintain operating systems, antivirus software, and educational applications.
- Ensure regular data backup, system security, and protection against cyber threats.
- Support smart classrooms, CCTV systems, biometric devices, ERP software, and other digital platforms used by the school.
- Coordinate with external vendors for AMC, repairs, warranty claims, and procurement of IT equipment.
- Maintain inventory of all IT assets and ensure proper documentation.
- Assist during school events, examinations, admissions, and online sessions by providing technical support.
- Monitor software license compliance and recommend system upgrades when required.
