Job Summary
We are looking for a Junior Chemist to join our QA/QC team and support routine chemical analysis, quality testing, and laboratory activities. The candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products while ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance with defined quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine chemical and physical analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Perform wet chemical analysis as per established SOPs and test methods.
- Carry out testing of parameters such as moisture, pH, LOI, silica, alumina, iron oxide, calcium, magnesium, and other relevant chemical parameters.
- Assist in sample preparation, digestion, dilution, filtration, and analysis.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment as per SOPs.
- Maintain accurate test records, laboratory registers, and analysis reports.
- Ensure proper identification, handling, storage, and disposal of laboratory samples and chemicals.
- Perform routine calibration and verification of laboratory equipment as required.
- Follow laboratory SOPs, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Identify abnormal or out-of-specification results and immediately report them to the senior chemist/supervisor.
- Support senior team members in method standardization, troubleshooting, and quality improvement activities.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the laboratory.
- Coordinate with Production and other departments regarding quality-related requirements.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of wet chemical analysis and laboratory practices.
- Understanding of chemical calculations, solution preparation, dilution, and standardization.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory instruments and analytical techniques.
- Ability to accurately record and interpret test results.
- Good observation and analytical skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and laboratory documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and in a manufacturing environment.
Qualification
B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Preferred Experience
- 6 months to 1.5 years of experience in a QA/QC laboratory, chemical manufacturing, minerals, ceramics, clay, or related industry.
- Fresh candidates with strong practical knowledge and relevant internship/laboratory exposure may also be considered.

Pay: ₹9,405.56 - ₹22,345.00 per month
