Saraswathy Group is a leading retail and wholesale business group in Kerala, serving customers across the state through an extensive distribution network. We are looking for a responsible and organized Transport Manager to oversee our daily vehicle operations and ensure timely, efficient deliveries.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily vehicle dispatches and delivery schedules.
- Assign routes to drivers and ensure on-time deliveries.
- Monitor vehicle movement and delivery status.
- Coordinate with warehouse, billing, and sales teams for smooth dispatch operations.
- Supervise drivers and delivery staff.
- Maintain vehicle documents, insurance, permits, and fitness certificates.
- Schedule regular vehicle servicing and preventive maintenance.
- Monitor fuel consumption and control transportation costs.
- Handle vehicle breakdowns and arrange timely support.
- Maintain transport records, trip sheets, and daily reports.
- Ensure compliance with traffic rules and company safety policies.
- Resolve transportation-related issues promptly.
Requirements
- Higher Secondary, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in transport, logistics, fleet management, or dispatch operations.
- Good organizational and coordination skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel and ERP systems such as Odoo is an advantage).
- Good communication skills in Malayalam. Tamil is an added advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Valid driving licence is an added advantage.
