Job Summary:
The Accounts Associate is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices and payments, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices, purchase bills, and employee reimbursements.
- Prepare and post accounting entries in the ERP/accounting software.
- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Verify invoices against purchase orders and Goods Received Notes (GRNs).
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare GST-related data and support statutory compliance.
- Reconcile vendor and customer ledgers and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain petty cash records and expense reports.
- Coordinate with the Purchase, Store, Operations, and HR departments for financial documentation.
- Assist in preparing MIS reports, financial statements, and management reports.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documents.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and accounting standards.
- Perform other finance-related tasks assigned by the Finance Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, or Accounting.
- 6month–3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the hospitality, retail, or F&B industry.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic accounting principles.
- Experience with accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
