What we are looking for
Must Have
1. Firewall Management & Configuration:
- Install, configure, and maintain Checkpoint firewalls and related security appliances.
- Manage firewall policies, rules, and NAT configurations.
- Perform VPN setup and troubleshooting (IPsec, SSL).
2. Network Troubleshooting & Support (L2/L3):
- Diagnose and resolve network issues related to switching, routing, and security.
- Monitor network health, identify performance bottlenecks, and optimize traffic flow.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues across VLANs, subnets, and firewall zones.
3. Routing & Switching (L2/L3 Protocols):
- Configure and manage network devices (switches, routers) supporting STP, VLANs, HSRP/VRRP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and MPLS.
- Work with dynamic and static routing, route redistribution, and failover mechanisms.
4. Security & Compliance:
- Enforce security best practices for firewall rule management.
- Conduct risk assessments, log analysis, and security audits.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, GDPR).
5. Network Monitoring & Performance Optimization:
- Utilize monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Splunk, Wireshark) for proactive issue identification.
- Analyze traffic patterns and implement optimizations for improved performance.
