Job Description
Xnomous is looking for a UAV Design Engineer to design and develop multirotor, fixed-wing, and hybrid VTOL UAV platforms. The candidate will be involved in airframe design, aerodynamics, structural analysis, propulsion selection, prototyping, and flight testing.
Key Responsibilities
Design UAV airframes, components, motor mounts, landing gear, and aerodynamic parts using 3D CAD.
Perform aerodynamic, structural, CFD/FEA, and propulsion analysis.
Select and optimize motors, propellers, ESCs, and batteries.
Design lightweight structures using carbon fiber, composites, and other engineering materials.
Integrate UAV payloads such as cameras, LiDAR, GPS, and flight controllers.
Support 3D printing, CNC, composite fabrication, assembly, and prototype testing.
Participate in ground and flight testing and troubleshoot mechanical/aerodynamic issues.
Prepare engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Aeronautical Engineering, or related field.
1–3 years of experience in UAV/Drone/Aerospace/Mechanical Design.
Proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA, Fusion 360, Creo, or similar CAD tools.
Knowledge of aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, composites, and UAV systems.
