Roles and Responsibilities of an English Teacher
1. Teaching and Learning
- Teach English language skills including Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing (LSRW).
- Develop students' vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and communication skills.
- Prepare and deliver engaging lesson plans as per the prescribed curriculum.
- Use innovative teaching methods, teaching aids, and technology to enhance learning.
2. Classroom Management
- Maintain a positive, safe, and disciplined classroom environment.
- Encourage active participation and collaborative learning.
- Establish and enforce classroom rules and expectations.
3. Student Assessment and Evaluation
- Conduct regular assessments, assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Evaluate students' academic performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
4. Language and Communication Development
- Improve students' reading comprehension and writing abilities.
- Encourage fluent and confident spoken English.
- Develop creative and critical thinking through discussions, storytelling, and presentations.
- Promote proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence construction.
5. Activity-Based Learning
- Organize storytelling sessions, role plays, debates, speeches, and language games.
- Encourage participation in literary activities, competitions, and school events.
- Foster creativity through creative writing, poetry, and reading activities.
6. Individual Student Support
- Identify students requiring additional academic support.
- Provide remedial teaching and personalized guidance when needed.
- Encourage and motivate students to achieve their learning goals.
7. Parent Communication
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and behavior.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and provide academic feedback.
8. Professional Responsibilities
- Attend staff meetings, workshops, training programs, and professional development sessions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices and curriculum implementation.
- Stay updated with modern teaching methodologies and educational trends.
9. School Duties
- Participate in school functions, celebrations, and co-curricular activities.
- Assist with examination duties and other responsibilities assigned by the school management.
- Uphold school policies, values, and professional ethics.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
