Role: Manager – Strategic Events & Communications
MASH is looking for a driven and creative professional to lead strategic event planning, stakeholder engagement, and communication initiatives for global and national convenings.
Key ResponsibilitiesEvent Planning & Development
- Identify sustainable venues and vendors
- Develop mission-aligned event concepts with internal teams and partners
- Curate innovative and engaging event formats
Global Stakeholder Engagement
- Map and engage global stakeholders including partners, sponsors, speakers, media, and ecosystem leaders
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships for international convenings
Logistics & Execution
- Manage event budgets, schedules, vendor coordination, and volunteer management
- Oversee end-to-end on-ground execution from setup to closure
Communications & Promotion
- Lead social media and live-event communications with real-time updates
- Develop communication plans for pre-event, during-event, and post-event engagement
- Create innovative storytelling formats including visual storytelling and micro-content
Stakeholder & Project Management
- Act as SPOC for clients, partners, and collaborators
- Manage project timelines, delegate responsibilities, and ensure smooth delivery
Documentation & Evaluation
- Prepare reports, session notes, compendiums, and post-event evaluation reports
- Track event outcomes, engagement metrics, and stakeholder feedback
Quality & Innovation
- Ensure excellence in event execution and risk mitigation
- Integrate social and environmental sustainability into programming
Qualifications & Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in event planning and management, preferably in nonprofits, social enterprises, or community-based organizations
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Creative problem-solving and event conceptualization abilities
- Familiarity with sustainable and inclusive event practices
- Knowledge of event management tools/software is a plus
