We are looking for a skilled PHP WordPress Developer with 2–6 years of experience in developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites and web applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in PHP, WordPress theme and plugin development, database management, and front-end technologies. The candidate should be passionate about writing clean, scalable code and delivering high-quality web solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites using PHP.
- Build custom WordPress themes and plugins based on business requirements.
- Customize existing WordPress themes, plugins, and CMS functionality.
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external services.
- Optimize website performance, speed, and overall user experience.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve website issues efficiently.
- Work with MySQL databases, write optimized SQL queries, and manage database structures.
- Ensure websites are responsive, cross-browser compatible, and mobile-friendly.
- Implement website security best practices and perform regular updates.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, project managers, and QA teams to deliver projects on time.
- Maintain code quality using coding standards and version control systems.
- Perform website migrations, backups, and deployment activities.
- Stay updated with the latest WordPress, PHP, and web development trends.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Core PHP and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Hands-on experience with WordPress theme and plugin development.
- Good understanding of WordPress Hooks, Actions, Filters, and REST API.
- Experience with MySQL database design and query optimization.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.
- Experience with Bootstrap or other responsive frameworks.
- Knowledge of Git or other version control systems.
- Familiarity with WooCommerce customization is an added advantage.
- Understanding of website performance optimization and SEO best practices.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and payment gateways.
- Knowledge of cPanel, hosting environments, and website deployment.
- Basic understanding of Linux servers is a plus.
