PACCAR India is looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Pune. Experienced in developing, managing, and maintaining accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support product development, manufacturing processes, and adherence to company and regulatory standards.
As a Mechanical Engineer at PACCAR, you will leverage your expertise in BOM structure, PCMS, COPICS, Ultimus and ECN Writing to create robust, ergonomic, and manufacturable solutions. Key Responsibilities:
Create, maintain, and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) for new and existing products.
Ensure accuracy of part numbers, descriptions, quantities, and product structures.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and design changes to update BOMs accordingly.
Manage BOM revisions and maintain proper version control.
Coordinate with design, manufacturing, procurement, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure BOM accuracy and availability of parts.
Enter and maintain BOM data in the system
Support engineering change requests and implement approved changes in BOM records.
Ensure compliance with company standards, documentation requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
Support production and new product introduction by providing accurate material and component information.
Participate in BOM audits and data validation activities to maintain data integrity.
Comfortable working in shift (15:00 to 00:30)
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Automotive or Production Engineering
Knowledge & Skills REQUIRED:
1-3 years of hands‑on experience in Mechanical engineering.
Strong knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) structure, including single-level and multi-level BOM
Experience in BOM creation, maintenance, and revision control
Familiarity with engineering change management and change request processes
Strong skills in data validation, data cleansing, and documentation control
Proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis, reporting, and BOM comparison
Experience is Creo & Windchill added advantage
