- Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up and operate roll-forming machines, slitting lines, or press brakes. Monitor production speed and adjust settings to maintain output targets.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished profiles for dimensional accuracy (length, width, thickness) and surface defects (scratches, dents, or paint issues) using calipers and gauges.
- Material Handling: Safely load steel coils onto the decoiler using overhead cranes or forklifts. Ensure the material is fed correctly into the machine guides.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform daily "start-up" checks, lubricate moving parts, and clean rollers to prevent buildup that can ruin the sheet finish. Report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team immediately.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate production logs, including coil numbers used, scrap generated, and total quantity produced per shift.
