Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Software Tester with 2-4 years of experience to join our QA team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in manual testing, basic automation knowledge, and strong analytical skills to ensure software quality and a seamless user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand project requirements, specifications, and technical design documents.
- Develop, maintain, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Log defects in a bug-tracking system (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and work with developers for resolution.
- Participate in test planning, estimation, and status reporting.
- Ensure that delivered software meets defined quality standards.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure smooth releases.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
- Contribute to test documentation (test plan, test summary, release notes).
- (Optional) Exposure to automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, Cypress) is a plus.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in manual testing of web, mobile, or desktop applications.
- Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
- Hands-on experience with bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Mantis, Bugzilla).
- Basic knowledge of SQL queries for database testing.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good to Have (Preferred):
- Exposure to automation testing tools (Selenium, Postman for API testing).
- Knowledge of performance testing concepts (JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Experience with version control tools (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket).
