Position Overview
We are seeking a talented, detail-oriented individual with excellent command over English Language (written & spoken). The candidate will be responsible for writing, editing, proofreading, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of content for publication. This role requires a meticulous individual with a passion for language, grammar, and clarity, who can work well in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in English/Mass Communication (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, or English
Candidates holding a Graduate or Master’s Degree in English from the University of Delhi will be given preference
Roles & Responsibilities
- Write, edit, and proofread Hindi and English content for CMS publications such as the Annual Magazine, Weekly Newsletters, Bulletins, and press releases
- Ensure grammatical accuracy, coherence, and consistency
- Coordinate and liaise with content writers and the team of reporters
- Set standards and establish goals and expectations
- Oversee layout and check content for accuracy and errors
- Verify sources of information
- Meet deadlines and budget requirements
- Prioritize and multitask on multiple projects simultaneously
- Adhere to media laws and ethical guidelines
- Provide training to interns, juniors, or team members
- Interview celebrities and meritorious students and finalize content for publication
- Strategize coverage of international events
- Cover various CMS events and prepare drafts for “Letters of Appreciation” and similar official communications
Requirements and Skills
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in writing, editing, proofreading, or journalism
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, supported by an excellent portfolio
- Strong knowledge of grammar, syntax, and language conventions in both languages
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Proficiency with editorial tools and software such as MS Word, MS Excel, Google Docs, and AI tools such as GROK, ChatGPT and Gemini
