Job Summary: As a Junior Production Engineer, you will have exciting opportunities to apply your technical knowledge in the manufacturing of the Company’s patented and off-patent material products in the glass and ceramics domains. You will get to work with team members and stakeholders having diverse competencies in R&D, quality control, and supply chain with considerable scope for cross-functional training. At all levels, suggestions for improvement of existing manufacturing systems and processes will be encouraged. Your focus on precision and ability to meet production targets will help in completing critical deliverables. Your innovative approach to process optimization will facilitate in scaling complex technologies from lab-scale to commercial production. The production outcomes supervised by you will have a major bearing on the future scalability and commercial success of the Company.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manufacturing Operations: Assisting in the day-to-day production of specialty glass and advanced ceramics, focusing on furnace operations and material synthesis.
· Utility & Systems Management: Basic oversight and handling of critical production utilities including gas units (Oxygen/Argon), cooling systems, and specialized industrial units.
· Process Monitoring: Monitoring electrical parameters, including current and voltage stability, to ensure consistent heating and material processing.
· Equipment Handling: Operating production-oriented machinery and applying basic principles of physics (thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and stress-strain) to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
· Technical Calculations: Applying knowledge of physics units and conversion factors (pressure, temperature, flow rates) to ensure precise batch processing.
· Quality & Compliance: Ensuring strict adherence to Quality Management Systems (QMS) and maintaining detailed production logs.
· Reporting: Reporting of Production Performance Metrics and utility consumption to Top Management.
Candidate Profile:
Qualification:
· Degree/Diploma: BE, BTech, or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, and Chemical Engineering.
· Fresher Friendly: This position is open to fresher’s or recent graduates who have a strong grasp of engineering fundamentals.
Essential Technical Knowledge:
· Electrical Units: Clear idea of current, voltage, and electrical units required for industrial equipment operation.
· Gas & Utility Systems: Basic understanding of gas units (Oxygen, Argon, etc.), oxygen units, and industrial cooling/chiller units.
· Applied Physics: Strong foundational knowledge of physics units and a production-oriented understanding of how machines work based on physical laws.
· General Skills: Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Office (Excel).
