Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Procurement Executive to join our Construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, purchasing, and coordinating the timely delivery of construction materials, equipment, and services while ensuring cost efficiency and quality standards.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers for construction materials and services.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate contracts to achieve the best commercial terms.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) as per project requirements.
- Coordinate with project/site teams to understand material requirements and delivery schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement to avoid project delays.
- Track and follow up on orders, deliveries, and supplier performance.
- Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, and purchase documentation.
- Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Resolve supplier-related issues, including quality concerns, shortages, and delivery delays.
- Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and management updates.
- Support contract management and vendor relationship development.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of procurement experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and vendor management.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and procurement software.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience in residential, commercial, or infrastructure construction projects.
- Familiarity with local supplier networks and construction market trends.
- Knowledge of contract terms, procurement processes, and inventory management.
