Job Summary
The Staff Nurse cum Receptionist is responsible for providing compassionate patient care while efficiently managing front-desk operations. The role requires excellent communication, clinical nursing skills, administrative capabilities, and a patient-centered approach to ensure a smooth outpatient experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities
- Assist the cardiologist during outpatient consultations and procedures.
- Record vital signs (BP, pulse, SpO₂, weight, height, BMI).
- Perform venous blood sample collection (phlebotomy) safely and efficiently.
- Prepare patients for ECG, TMT, Holter, ABPM, Echocardiography, and other cardiac investigations.
- Administer medications, injections, and dressings as prescribed.
- Maintain infection control and biomedical waste management protocols.
- Ensure emergency equipment and crash cart readiness.
- Educate patients regarding medications, lifestyle modifications, and follow-up instructions.
Reception & Administrative Responsibilities
- Welcome and register patients professionally.
- Schedule appointments and manage consultation queues.
- Handle telephone calls, WhatsApp inquiries, and appointment reminders.
- Generate bills, collect payments, and maintain billing records.
- Maintain patient records in the Hospital Information System (HIS)/EMR.
- Coordinate laboratory tests, imaging, referrals, and follow-up visits.
- Prepare daily reports for patient visits, billing, and collections.
Patient Care & Communication
- Create a warm, respectful, and comfortable environment for every patient.
- Explain procedures clearly and address patient concerns with empathy.
- Coordinate with doctors, laboratories, pharmacies, and insurance providers.
- Handle patient complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with healthcare policies.
Required Skills
- Computer proficiency (MS Office, EMR/HIS, email, internet).
- Billing and cash handling experience.
- Excellent phlebotomy (blood drawing) skills.
- ECG recording and basic nursing procedures.
- Knowledge of NABH standards, infection control, biomedical waste management, patient safety, and healthcare policies.
- Strong communication skills in English, Kannada, and Hindi (preferred).
- Professional appearance and courteous behavior.
- Ability to multitask in a busy cardiology outpatient setting.
Qualifications
- GNM/B.Sc. Nursing with valid Nursing Council registration.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Experience in Cardiology OPD or hospital reception is desirable.

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
