We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Technician – Mechanical to support machine assembly, fabrication, and shop-floor operations. The role involves working on mechanical assembly of machines, along with fabrication activities such as drilling, tapping, welding, and grinding.
The candidate will be responsible for assembling machine components as per drawings, ensuring proper fitment, alignment, and functionality. In addition to assembly, the role requires active involvement in fabrication work including drilling holes, tapping threads, basic welding, and finishing operations like grinding.
The ideal candidate should have practical experience working with tools, machines, and fabrication processes, along with the ability to read basic engineering drawings and follow instructions accurately.
This role requires a disciplined and execution-focused individual who can work efficiently on the shop floor, maintain quality standards, and support timely completion of machine builds.
Experience in machine building, special purpose machines (SPM), or industrial equipment assembly will be an added advantage.
- Perform mechanical assembly of machine components and sub-assemblies
- Carry out drilling and tapping operations as per requirement
- Perform basic welding tasks (as applicable)
- Handle grinding and finishing work for proper fitment
- Read and follow engineering drawings and instructions
- Ensure proper alignment and fit during assembly
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition
- Follow safety practices on the shop floor
- Support production team in completing machine builds on time
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or relevant field
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in fabrication / assembly
- Experience in drilling, tapping, welding, and grinding
- Basic understanding of machine assembly
- Ability to read simple engineering drawings
- Familiarity with hand tools and workshop machines
- Good work discipline and attention to quality
