Educational Qualification - B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical/Production); Diploma in Mechanical Engg.
1. Should have experience of working in manufacturing quality.
2. Knowledge of vehicle manufacturing processes like Weld, Paint & assembly are desired.
Job Responsibilities
1.To develop and define Vehicle control plan and Inspection standards for all models.
2. Develop inspection strategy based on Standards as well as dynamic feedback from next Quality Gates, Customer audit, Dealer PDI.
3. Develop Periodic & robust training and evaluation plan for Inspection staff & engineers followed by frequent Qualification tests for critical functions like Drive test & Electrical tests.
4. Review daily assessment of Inspection process and direct the staff for immediate actions on the Inspection controls to prevent and work towards zero skips from each Quality gate.
5. Periodic assessment and review of the Inspection methods and tools to upgrade and achieve next level of accuracy and efficiency utilizing latest technology & bench mark practices. (Digitization, Automation)
6. Involve at early stage in New Model to ensure resolution of chronic issues for built-in Quality in close coordination with Project Teams.
7. Leading Daily, Weekly and Monthly meetings for defect data monitoring, analysis and direction to other teams for focus areas improvement
8. Guide & mentor Inspection team for expertise in defect identification, root causing till process stage, attribution to right agency followed by prevention methods
9.Take up Time bound New Initiatives to resolve chronic and critical issues in assembly process or product level by leading teams, utilizing advanced Problems solving tools for break through results.
10. Co-coordinating for the management reviews with stake holders for KPI improvement
11. Ensuring the compliance of documentation and activities in line with QMS (ISO 9001:2015) requirements
12. Hands on experience in problem solving through using basic, intermediate and advanced problem-solving tools (4M, Why-Why)
Competencies / Skills
1. Ability to perform and understand quality measurements (Panel Checker/Body Checker/CMM/3D Scanning)
2. Ability to analyze quality measurement reports and suggest countermeasures.
3. Detailed understanding of QC Tools and able to report the issues in effective manner
4. Basic understanding of Vehicle Plant operations
5. New Model Trial - Quality Improvement activities
6. Good Communication & presentation skills, Networking Skills, Creativity, Learnability, self-motivated and team player.
7. Ability to co-ordinate with Cross functional team and resolve the quality related issues
8. Hand on Experience of MS Excel and power point.
