A Management Representative (MR) for QMS in the automotive industry is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System in compliance with IATF 16949:2016 and customer-specific requirements (CSR). This role acts as a bridge between top management and operational teams to ensure a culture of quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- QMS Implementation & Maintenance: Ensure IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards are implemented and maintained across all company functions.
- Audit Management: Organize, plan, and carry out internal quality audits, process audits, and supplier audits. Act as the primary liaison during external certification or customer audits.
- Management Representative Meetings (MRM): Conduct regular management review meetings to report on QMS performance and effectiveness to top leadership.
- Non-Conformance & CAPA: Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), managing Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and 8D reports for customer complaints.
- Core Tools & Documentation: Oversee documentation control, including quality manuals, SOPs, and automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
- Training & Awareness: Train staff on IATF standards and ensure customer requirements are understood throughout the organization.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Certification: Mandatory certification as an IATF 16949 Internal Auditor.
- Experience: 5–8 years in quality management within the automotive or manufacturing sector.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of IATF 16949:2016, ISO 9001:2015, and automotive core tools.
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Engineering (Mechanical, Automobile, Production).
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
