Job Title: Accounting Manager
Job Location: Onsite - GIFT City, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India
Job Shift: US EST Shift (5:00 PM - 2:00 AM IST)
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team at our GIFT City office. This role requires a seasoned accounting professional with strong expertise in US GAAP, Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), GST, TDS, general ledger management, financial reporting,
and month-end close processes. The ideal candidate will bring leadership capability, deep technical accounting knowledge, and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
General Ledger & Reconciliations

Oversee and manage end-to-end general ledger (GL) processes, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions.

Review and approve monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations, ensuring accurate and timely closing of books.

Lead balance sheet reviews and clean-ups, identifying and resolving discrepancies or unusual balances.
US GAAP Compliance & Financial Reporting

Ensure financial statements and records are prepared in compliance with US GAAP and applicable accounting policies.

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, supporting schedules, and variance analysis.

Support audit requirements, including preparation of PBC (Prepared by Client) schedules and coordination with internal/external auditors.
India Accounting - Ind AS & GST/TDS Compliance

Ensure accounting records comply with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and applicable regulatory requirements.

Support statutory and internal audit requirements for India-side entities.

Stay updated on changes in Indian tax laws, GST regulations, and Ind AS updates, and ensure timely implementation.
Month-End Close & Process Improvements

Drive and manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data and resolve accounting issues.

Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.

Mentor and guide junior team members, reviewing their work and supporting their professional development.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (CA Inter or CPA a plus).

Minimum 10-12 years of progressive experience in accounting and GL management.

Strong knowledge of US GAAP, Ind AS, general ledger, reconciliations, fixed assets, and financial reporting.

Hands-on experience with GST filings and TDS compliance.

Proven experience managing month-end and year-end close processes.

Proficiency with NetSuite; familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting platforms is a plus.

Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and manage accounting teams.

Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Comfortable working the US EST shift (5:30 PM - 2:30 AM IST) from GIFT City, Gandhinagar.
