Job Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Field Installation & Maintenance Technician to manage the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of CCTV cameras and associated equipment like AI servers deployed under the Jumbo Shield project.
The candidate must be comfortable working at remote field locations, possess strong troubleshooting abilities and be willing to travel anywhere our solution is deployed.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure CCTV cameras at project locations.
- Install and maintain associated equipment such as poles, enclosures, routers, power supplies, batteries and solar-power systems.
- Conduct site surveys to identify suitable camera positions, network availability and power requirements.
- Troubleshoot issues related to cameras, cabling, power supply, connectivity and equipment configuration.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of existing installations.
- Check camera feeds, image quality, connectivity and overall system health.
- Perform basic configuration of routers, SIM-based connectivity and IP-networking equipment.
- Replace or repair faulty devices, cables, connectors and other components.
- Coordinate with the technical team for remote diagnosis and resolution of software or server-related issues.
- Coordinate with forest officials, local field teams and vendors during installation and maintenance.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency maintenance requirements.
Required Skills
- Good hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Experience with CCTV camera installation and maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, cabling, power supplies and electronic equipment.
- Ability to use common installation and diagnostic tools.
- Willingness to work at remote outdoor locations and under varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to travel frequently and stay at deployment locations when required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving licence is preferred.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Basic understanding of computer networks, IP addresses, routers and internet connectivity.
- Experience with 4G SIM routers, Wi-Fi equipment or IoT devices.
- Knowledge of solar panels, batteries and power-backup systems.
- Experience working with outdoor, industrial or surveillance equipment.
- Familiarity with mobile applications and basic computer operations.
Educational Qualification
ITI, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electronics, Electrical, Networking, Telecommunications, Computer Hardware or a related technical field.
Candidates with relevant practical experience in CCTV installation and maintenance will also be considered.
Experience
1–3 years of relevant experience is preferred. Freshers with strong practical knowledge, troubleshooting skills and a willingness to work in the field may also apply.
