Job Summary
The Forklift Painter is responsible for surface preparation, painting, touch-up work, and finishing of forklifts, attachments, and related equipment. The role ensures forklifts are painted according to company quality standards, safety procedures, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare forklift surfaces for painting by sanding, grinding, masking, cleaning, and removing rust or old paint.
- Apply primer, paint, and finishing coats using spray painting equipment.
- Mix paints and match colors as per company or customer specifications.
- Perform dent filling, putty work, and minor body repairs before painting.
- Ensure smooth and high-quality paint finish on forklifts and components.
- Maintain painting tools, spray guns, compressors, and painting booth equipment.
- Follow safety procedures while handling paints, chemicals, and equipment.
- Inspect painted surfaces for defects and perform touch-up work when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the paint area.
- Coordinate with maintenance and workshop teams for job completion timelines.
- Record material usage and report shortages or equipment issues to supervisors.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of spray painting techniques and paint mixing.
- Understanding of surface preparation and finishing processes.
- Ability to use painting tools, grinders, sanders, and compressors.
- Basic knowledge of forklift structure and industrial equipment.
- Attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and within deadlines.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
